The Saudi Prosthodontic Society is a health & scientific association that contributes to the support and development of health care in all matters related to prosthodontics in Saudi Arabia (Fixed & removable Prosthodontics, Implantology and maxillofacial Prosthesis).
A group of prosthodontists applied for the establishment of The Saudi Prosthodontic Society on 9/4/1439 corresponding to 27/12/2017 aiming to support the specialty scientifically and practically. Upon approval of the society of by The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties’ Executive Presidency, a temporary constituent committee was formed. Composed of five founding members (Dr. Mansour Asiri, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Juhani, Dr. Faizah Al-Malki, Dr. Sami Farsi, Dr. Ayman Al-Dhrab).
The Saudi Prosthodontic Society (SPS) was established by a decision of the Board of Trustees of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) on the proposal of the Executive Council of Health Societies on the 10th of Muharram 1441 corresponding to September 9, 2019 and headquartered in Riyadh.
The Society shall be managed by a Board of Directors consisting of eleven members elected by the General Assembly by secret ballot from among the active members of the society who meet the nomination conditions in the presence of a representative of the Saudi Commission for health Specialty (SCFHS). The term of the Council is three years, renewable for one time. One of the most important responsibilities of the Board of Directors of the Society is to propose the general policy of the Society within the framework of the agreed objectives. Propose the internal regulations of the Society and organize its work. Preparing the annual report of the Society’s activities and submitting it to the Executive Council of Health Societies after its approval by the general assembly at the SCFHS.
Finally, our prosthodontics Society (SPS) will strive to achieve the vision of our beloved kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 and work together with the members to achieve optimal oral health for all.
